FAQs

How can I get my skin make-up ready?

Your skin must be cleaned with facewash, toned, moisturized, and primed in that order, before you put on makeup. This will ensure that your makeup application is smooth, and lasts all day. We recommend the White Magic Blurring Active Primer to smooth your skin for seamless makeup application.

I don’t want to carry too much makeup with me when I leave the house. What is the one product that’ll suffice?

This is a commonly faced issue, and we’d recommend lipstick. Lipsticks can be used for your cheeks, eyes, and of course, your lips. Apply a little bit on your gingers, smile wide, and apply it on your cheeks for a natural blush. Do the same with an eye brush for a quick eyeshadow too, and you’re good to go! Check out our range of Magnetique Lipsticks in various shades that you can use for any look.

How can I apply foundation on skin with acne?

Proper skin prep is the key to applying makeup to acne-prone skin. Cleanse and moisturize your skin, and use a primer to make the texture of your skin smoother. Then, you can use a color corrector like the Dermacol Color Corrector Palette to reduce redness from blemishes and pimples. Your skin will now be ready for foundation. Remember to stipple, and not swipe foundation on skin with acne. We recommend the AcneCover Foundation and Corrector with tea tree oil, made
especially for skin with acne.

What is the purpose of using a lip liner?

Lip liners have quite a few uses. If you apply it around your lips before applying lipstick, it will stop your lipstick from bleeding. It can also be used to fill in your lips completely, and can be used in place of a lipstick. Lip liners in darker shade than your lipstick can also be used for lip contours, making your lips look fuller. You can check out our range of Iconic Lip Liners to see what suits you best.

Why does my foundation look cakey when I apply it?

If your foundation looks cakey, there’s a chance you’ve applied too much, or it’s the wrong shade. After you moisturize and prime (this is a must!), pick a shade of foundation that disappears into your skin. If your foundation looks cakey even after, just blend and blend! This usually makes it better. Set your foundation with a makeup spray, or translucent setting powder, after. We recommend the Longwear Cover Makeup foundation for a flawless base that lasts all day.
